Creation.
The ancient believed, based on their observations of the world, that the world itself was born from a giant female deity.
Basically, two gods had sex and the world was born.
Read the enuma elish with this theory in mind. http://www.sacred-texts.com/ane/enuma.htm
Marduk is having intercourse with Tiamat.
Now read the shinto work Nihongi.

Isanami and isagami are having intercourse.

Now read these others. You'll find that a mighty spear, sword, phallus, etc., etc, is inserted into the watery pool quite a bit.
Watery pool? It was assumed by the ancients that because just before birth a womans water burst, that the woman retained a sacred pool of water. (Makes sense... sort of) So, to create the world your going to need a really big watery pool or womb to give birth to the earth.
Also look up Nun in Egyptian mythology, she gave birth the world.
So, right at the start of Genesis when God passes of the waters of the deep, its a vague allusion to sex. It is, I promise.
i think this was the masonic big secret. (the world being born) right up to the point they figured out it wasn't true. They lost their secret.
....
This giant celestial womb is represented by a temple, cave, tree, ark, etc.
Think about it. Noah was a float for 10 months (Jewish calendar being lunar based, which it was) then 10 lunar cycles is the period of time a woman carries a baby.
more to come...
